"Nest Egg"  was established in Seeley's Bay, Ontario in 2008. 

 

Owned and operated by Dale and Gordon Moore of Lyndhurst, Ontario.  “Nest Egg” features delectable ice-cream made by Kawartha Dairy now available in 32 flavours during the peak season. Also for sale is a great selection of collectibles – old including furniture, oil lamps, barber items, silver, glass and new including yard art, rugs, candles and much more. One of a kind items crafted by local and distant artisans is also joyfully presented.

When we opened our doors August 2008 we had no idea what to expect. We were met with smiles and enthusiasm from our customers. Since then the people keep coming, we have gone from just 16 flavours to 32 flavours. Our customers love the ice-cream for the quality and selections.

We are always looking for something to add to the menu, and have tried new items over the years, some remaining some gone. This year we are pleased to offer steamed hotdogs and buns, as well as slushies as requested by customers. On occasions you will even find fresh popped popcorn, or cotton candy.

                When you enter into the store, on the left hand side you will find our ice-cream section, on the right hand side you will enter our craft and collectables. Our store changes fully with the seasons where you will always find new items and fresh new displays. We now have over 20 artisans throughout the store with items from baby diaper cakes to pottery to cut glass. We don’t carry a large number of a single item due to our size but we do offer a wide selection. New to 2010 is our Christmas room, now Christmas is found all year long for the serious Christmas enthusiast.

We hope you make your way to the town of Seeley’s Bay located on the Rideau Canal, between Kingston and Smith falls, to drop by and enjoy some ice cream and stroll your way through the store. We are sure the drive will be worth it.
