The Nest Egg established in 2008 is a family owned business with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff .

The Nest Egg is a place to stop, meet travelers and find "one-of-a-kind" items from local artisans. You can find us by vehicle, boat or on bike; we are located just off hwy 15 between Kingston and Smith Falls and on the Heritage Rideau Waterway.

We offer an assortment of Kawartha Dairy ice cream in 24 yummy flavours, enjoy your selection on a vanilla, sugar or waffle cone. We can make you a milk shake, sundae or banana split. Fill up a take out container or pickup one of our prefilled 1.5 liter tubs. Try some frozen yogurt made with frozen fruit and frozen Kawartha dairy yogurt. We have a large indoor air conditioned seating area or outside picnic benches.

Baked throughout the summer months you’ll find tasty fresh bread and other baked treats, as well as delicious preserves created in The Nest Egg’s professional kitchen.

Our Store operates seasonally from May to December opening one day in February where the shop is also a “must visit” destination for people on the ‘chili contest route’ during Frost Fest, Seeley’s Bay annual winter carnival.
